James Flores,
systems engineer.

I'm an Air Force veteran and systems engineer with a passion for automation, cybersecurity and the cloud. I build tools in Python and PowerShell that solve real problems, keep fleets of Windows and Linux machines in line, and write about what I learn in my homelab.

  2. blog

My technical blog on homelab automation, cybersecurity and systems engineering: practical guides for Proxmox, Docker, Home Assistant and the scripts that tie them together. It started as its own site and now lives here.

  4. A file pipeline with a dashboard: a monitor watches a drop folder, hashes each file, routes it by name to where it belongs and retries failures, while a Flask app shows what's in progress, done or failed. Runs in Docker.

  5. group-policy

PowerShell that takes the pain out of the quarterly DISA STIG GPO release: it unpacks the package, sorts the ADMX templates and GPOs, drops duplicates and anything you filter out, and imports the rest, labeled and commented.
